The German adhesive manufacturer Herma has released 62K, a low-migration adhesive for very low temperatures.  It has been unconditionally approved for use – even with fatty foods – without alteration of the adhesion or processing.

The company has also developed a proprietary polymer to aid in the process. According to Herma, these attributes were only previously available with hot-melt adhesives. The deep-freeze 62K can be securely applied at -20 degrees Celsius and it has been granted unconditional ISEGA approval for dry, moist and, in particular, fatty foods.
